Cory Foy Hi Alex, For Scrum - it's because your ultimate goal is agility, regardless of framework, and Scrum provides some nice initial features (Limiting WIP through velocity, a set cadence). You can always recreate Scrum using Kanban (http://blog.coryfoy.com/2011/07/recreating-scrum-using-kanban-and-explicit-policies/). For Kanban and LSS - organization I've worked with using Lean Six Sigma or with similar Lean thinking are generally amenable to the ideas of flow and reduction of waste you move towards with Kanban. The ideas of value stream mapping are also in place. So I've found that teams working within that environment find high amounts of support from their leadership. Hope that helps!
