From the NY Times Bestselling author of the Dave Riley Green Beret series
Maverick federal employee Sammy Pintella, obsessed with uncovering the fate of her MIA father, makes a startling discovery while rifling through some inactive government files. A dozen, faded black and white photos seem to point to the existence of a secret US Military base built in the frozen wastelands of Antarctica during the height of the Cold War.
Aided by Special Forces veteran Dave Riley, she heads for Antarctica. But they aren’t alone. Spies, North Koreans and other shadowy forces are also en route, because deep inside Eternity Base is something people will go to extreme lengths to get: a cache of nuclear warheads.

“A federal employee intent upon discovering the truth about her missing in action father stumbles upon a closely-held secret about an Antarctic military base - a base illegally constructed and which has been kept a secret by a serious of murders. When she and her reporter sister fly to the base for an in-depth probe, murder begins to stalk them in this tense novel. Unlike most military stories this will appeal to general audiences as a fine thriller. Highly recommended, indeed.” -- Midwest Book Review

Eternity Base by Bob Mayer

  1. 1. What if you uncovered a Cold War secret base in Antarctica holding nuclear weapons? Available on Amazon, iBooks, Google Play and Kobo
  2. 2. I wrote The Green Berets: Eternity Base for two reasons. First, I saw a newspaper article that said an international treaty bans weapons in Antarctica. Well. Duh. Second, I served in the 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne). We were the SF Group oriented for Winter Warfare. So off we’d go every winter to high altitude and extreme cold and have fun. I just had to write about being cold after such excellent experiences. The Army did teach me how to ski though, not bad for a guy from da’ Bronx.
  3. 3. But you weren’t the only one. Now there’s a race to recover the weapons before they end up in the wrong hands. “Fascinating, imaginative & nerve-wracking.” Kirkus
  4. 4. Federal employee Sammy Pintella was obsessed with uncovering the fate of her MIA father. But never imaged stumbling into some inactive government files deep in the “vault” of the National Archives.
  5. 5. Rifling through a dozen faded black and while photos she pinpoints the location of a secret US Military base built in Antarctica.
  6. 6. Sammy talks her reporter sister to fly over the base for an in- depth probe. They were not prepared for what they found.
  7. 7. Now she needs help to keep ahead of the North Koreans. Someone to help with the nuclear weapons. Someone to keep her alive.
  8. 8. She needs Dave Riley. MISSION: Find Eternity Base. Obtain the nuclear cache. And keep Sammy Alive.
  9. 9. Will Riley secure the weapons Cache? Will he keep Sammy alive? Find out in this face paced military thriller, Eternity Base.
  10. 10. Maverick federal employee Sammy Pintella, obsessed with uncovering the fate of her MIA father, makes a startling discovery while rifling through some inactive government files.
