Risk Assessment for my photo shoot

1. Risk Assessment

1 Wet/Dusty
Floor
There is a risk
of myself and
my models
slipping on the
floor and
injuring
themselves.
Before the
shoot I will
inspect the
location to
ensure that the
floor is not wet
or dusty, if it is,
then I will
dry/clean the
floor in order to
reduce the risk.
2 Loose
Wires/Cables
There is a risk
that myself or
my models
tripping over
wires/cables
that are loose
or exposed and
injuring
themselves.
Before the
shoot I will
make sure that
all wires are in
a safe place
and are not
causing a risk.
3 Weather If I choose to do
the photo shoot
outside, there is
a risk that there
could be bad
whether such
as rain etc. This
increases the
risk of slipping
and could mess
with the electric
equipment that
we use such as
cameras and
lights.
I will check the
weather report
a couple of
days prior to the
shoot, I will also
check the
weather on the
day of the shoot
and if I do not
think that the
weather is good
enough, I will
either shoot
inside a studio,
or rearrange the
shoot for
another day.

2. Hazard No. Hazard Risk Precaution
4 Battery Life If I go outside to
perform the
shoot, there is
a risk that the
camera would
run out of
battery
meaning that I
would not be
able to do the
photo shoot.
I will make sure
that the camera
that I take is
fully charged
before I go to
do the shoot, I
will also take a
spare camera
and a charger
in case
anything goes
wrong.
5 Missing Models There is a risk
that I could be
let down by my
models, they
may not turn up
to the shoot
and this would
mean that I
cannot take the
pictures.
I will double
check that the
model is
available on the
day of the shoot
and that they
are going to
turn up, I will
have back up
models in case
my first choice
models can not
take part.
6 Flash There is a risk
that the
flash/lighting on
the camera
could affect the
models eyes.
I will make sure
that my models
do not have any
health problems
such as
epilepsy and I
will ensure that
the lighting and
flash is not too
bright.
