  2. 2. ANGER • Anger is one of a number of emotions that are natural reactions.
  3. 3. Understanding Anger • Recognizing when your angry is a healthy thing to do.
  4. 4. Think about why you’re angry Sometimes it’s easy for us to understand why we’re angry and sometimes we have to work harder to find out why we’re angry
  5. 5. Response to Anger • Sometimes waiting to respond is a good idea but • avoiding the causes of your anger will usually cause more problems…for you! People who fly into a rage always make a bad landing. -- Will Rogers The greatest remedy for anger is delay. -- Seneca.
  6. 6. So what do I do? Anger, if not restrained, is frequently more hurtful to us than the injury that provokes it. -- Seneca.
  7. 7. Staying angry can make you feel worse! Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned. -- Buddha.
  8. 8. Find ways to return to good feelings • Think about how you can make the situation better. • Look for ways to resolve the problem for the future. • Find ways to feel good again!
