We have a residential GED and Lifelong Learning Americans with training and medical rehabilitation center known as Awareness Week (October Disabilities Act Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center, as well as Offices 19-23) located across Virginia. The Agency also partners with a Site Index Survey of wireless network of community rehabilitation providers, also known technology use by people as Employment Services Organizations (ESOs) . These with disabilities organizations provide Employment and Vocational Services throughout the state. For students with disabilities Brain Injury Report Out Day: Virginia Brain Injury moving from high school to further education, work or State Action Plan 2009- independence, DRS collaborates with schools in providing 2013 Transition Services. DRS also works with federally funded VATS is soliciting Request One Stop Centers to provide workforce services to for Proposals (RFP) for persons with disabilities. A special program supporting this community based AT effort is the Disability Program Navigator initiative. More "Whats New" Community Based Services The DRS Community Based Services Division administers several programs that support individuals with significant disabilities to maximize their independence, employment, and full inclusion into society. Individuals do not have to be recipients of Vocational Rehabilitation services to be eligible for the CBS Division programs which include Brain Injury Services Coordination; Community Rehabilitation Case Management Services; Independent Living Services, Personal Assistance Services. Assistive Technology / Devices and Equipment Assistive Technology Services directly assist individuals with disabilities in the selection, acquisition, or use of an assistive technology device. An assistive technology device is defined as any item, piece of equipment, or product system whether acquired commercially off the shelf, modified or customized, that is used to increase, maintain, or improve functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities.http://www.vadrs.org/[11/9/2009 10:08:44 AM]
