    • Encourage the development of innovative and new-to-market ICT solutions using mobile technologies for the public sector .
    • Grants:
    • Up to 30% of project costs or $200,000
    • Awarded competitively
  • 3. Program Overview
    • Eligibility Requirements
    • Consortia-backed submissions (3+)
    • Developed and piloted in NSW
    • Development has not commenced
    • Submissions Close:
    February 2012 29 12PM SHARP
  • 4. What it is / is not
    • Is
    • new ICT-enabled products and solutions
    • global market, but developed in NSW
    • supporting commercial pilots and trials (“r&D”)
    • done in the “spirit of collaboration”
    • awards a grant, driving commercial interests
    • Is Not
    • new ICT technologies / exhibits / demos
    • limited to “NSW companies” only
    • supporting pure / ICT technology research
    • done in a client-vendor or tender arrangement
    • awards contest prize in a contest or competition
  • 5. “ Mobile Government” Definition
    • We define as :
    • A commercial ICT solution
    • For use in the public sector
    • Delivered via a Mobile Device
    • Uses Mobile Technologies
    • High-Level of Online Service Capability
    • (Beyond mobile apps!)
  • 6. Consortium-Backed Submission
    • A consortium must have:
    • One Consortium Lead
    • One or more User Organisation (from the Department)
    • One or more Consortium Partner
    Lead NSW Trade & Investment Industry, Innovation & Investment Primary Industries, Food & Water Resources & Energy Tourism, Major Events & Hospitality; and Finance, Strategy and Operations. Consortia Partner ICT Technology company Telecom & Network services Electronic payment Content Provider Industry Association Other government agencies Research Organisation Academia etc. User Org Consortia Partner
  • 7. Evaluation Criteria
    • Four Criteria: (in order)
    • NSW Economic Benefits and Alignment Jobs Created, ICT Sector Revenue, Export Potential, Strategic Fit
    • Public-Sector Productivity Benefits Reduced costs, faster processing, positive customer engagements
    • Innovative Mobile & ICT Use Compelling ICT Showcase, Drives ICT Adoption
    • Robust Consortium & Business Model Business Model, Financial Strength, Collaborative Partnerships
