  • 3. Comprehensive Plan Reasons to Consider Annexation • Provides control of gateway frontage • Provides undeveloped area for future growth • Area qualifies for non-annexation DA
  • 4. Annexation Process • Annexation team meeting • P&Z Commission (for recommendation) • Ordinance establishing public hearing dates (two required) • Survey of annexation area • Preparation of service plan • Council conducts two public hearings • Council considers annexation ordinance
