1. 1. The Recipe for On Page 10 for Restaurants
Just the basic unbiased facts.
We sell commercial fridges not SEO,
but we want to help you market your restaurant!
Start Here
24/7/365
Warranty
Environment
Our superior customer service team answers the phone every time you call providing direct contact with ColdTech.
We are passionate about environmental and food safety responsibility.
ColdTech Commercial has the best warranty in the business.
3 years bumper to bumper & 5 Year Compressor Warranty.
Contact Us
Toll Free 24/7: 1-855-241-3251
info@ColdTechcommercial.com
2. 2. What do Fridges & SEOhave in common?
Nothing? Both are cool? We are a commercial refrigeration company with SEO experts in house?
All three answers are correct
Contact Us
Toll Free 24/7: 1-855-241-3251
info@ColdTechcommercial.com
3. 3. Search engines use a “recipe” (Algorithm) to decide what website is the most usefulto the person who searches. No one knows absolutely what the secret sauce is but there are some basic ingredients.
Contact Us
Toll Free 24/7: 1-855-241-3251
info@ColdTechcommercial.com
What is SEO? (Search Engine Optimization)
4. 4. The internet search engines (like Google, Yahoo, Bing) are reliant on information you give them. They need to know what your site is about, so you must know the correct keywords to use to be found by your potential customer.
Ask yourself, “What would a customer put in Google to find you?”
How many searches are there for the keywords you need?
For example: “Chinese Restaurant Portland”
Here’s a free tool to check: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
Contact Us
Toll Free 24/7: 1-855-241-3251
info@ColdTechcommercial.com
Keyword Basics for Restaurants:
6. 6. Web Content Basics for Restaurants
Any SEO expert will say you need useful content on your website
A flash-based or mostly pictures/graphics may look nice, but search engines have a hard time knowing what your site is about.
Add written useful information on your web pages BUT make sure you have one page of content (at least) for each keyword. For example you would have (at least) three separate pages of content for keywords, “Chinese Restaurant Chicago” plus, “Downtown Chicago Chinese Restaurant”, or “Restaurant Delivery Chicago”
Don’t think you’re a good writer? There is a way to write for web (vs. print) so I suggest you go to www.eLance.com to look for a web writer or for some fun content go to www.fiverr.com . The more RELEVANT content you have on your website the better Google knows what your site is about (irrelevant content is useless and can harm your ranking).
Media
Contact Us
5070 Whitelaw Road, Guelph, ON, CANADA/ P. 519 837 0920/ contactus@ColdTechcommercial.com
7. 7.

A title tag is the main text describing a document.
 8. 8. It is the most important on page SEO element as well as overall content
 9. 9. It’s should be under 70 characters (not letters – spaces and punctuation count as characters)
 10. 10. Your most important keyword should be first
 11. 11. Keywords will be bolded in the search engine results when someone searches

Title Tag Best practices are two ways:
Keyword 1 + Keyword2 + Brand
or
Brand + Keyword1 + Keyword2
Title Tag Example:
Commercial Refrigeration – ColdTech Commercial
Media
Contact Us
5070 Whitelaw Road, Guelph, ON, CANADA/ P. 519 837 0920/ contactus@ColdTechcommercial.com
Title Tag Basics for Restaurants:
12. 12. Where Title Tags Show-Up
You need to keep your potential customers in mind for what they are searching for and clicking on, plus their experience. (That’s why I added the phone number in the title tag)
Media
Contact Us
5070 Whitelaw Road, Guelph, ON, CANADA/ P. 519 837 0920/ contactus@ColdTechcommercial.com
13. 13.

Generally not used as an SEO elementanymore.
 14. 14. However, it is important for potential customers as it shows up in the search engine results – but have more of a marketingslant.

Adding the page keyword in the metadescription will make it bolded by Google when someone searches for that term.
 15. 15. You can control this – make it inviting for potential customer to click.

In Google:
Media
Contact Us
5070 Whitelaw Road, Guelph, ON, CANADA/ P. 519 837 0920/ contactus@ColdTechcommercial.com
MetaDescriptionBasicsfor Restaurants
