    • SDN: Bring Your Own Network Software Defined Network gives control in the cloud & third party environments: • Addressing • Protocols • Topology • Security Bring Your Own Network (BYON) • Federate across cloud targets • Reuse existing IT resources and skills • Customize with compatibility with any vendor, OS, cloud CohesiveFT’s Answer to SDN Needs: VNS3 @cohesiveFT #cloudexpoEU3 Copyright CohesiveFT - Jan 23, 2013 15Wednesday, January 23, 13
    • Image Automation: Bring Your Own Images Automatically build images & deploy app topologies for any cloud or virtual target “Database of record” for consumer devices, including provenance & composition • Express a common “bill of materials” (OS and Software) to any cloud or virtual format • Manage configuration and version control within multiple frameworks through a set of quick, easy and repeatable steps • Manage open source, commercial source and proprietary source • Powerful boot-time & run-time orchestration of applications and topologies @cohesiveFT #cloudexpoEU3 Copyright CohesiveFT - Jan 23, 2013 16Wednesday, January 23, 13
    • Let Them Bring Their Own Image to Your Cloud Customers can manage their software supply chain • Import their own image/component, or select from server templates • Agile and collaborative image automation factory to create in a controlled environment • Create from a dynamic catalog for on-demand image assembly CohesiveFT’s Answer: OS Catalog • Platform that allows user to lunch pre-built virtual machines via the IBM SmartCloud or public clouds • Prebuilt virtual machines offered in several open source linux distributions - CentOS, Debian, Fedora, Ubuntu etc. • Customers can build and customize their own VM • Customers can import their own pre-existing VMs from their datacenter. @cohesiveFT #cloudexpoEU3 Copyright CohesiveFT - Jan 23, 2013 17Wednesday, January 23, 13
    • Improve Satisfaction, Reduce Support, Increase Retention Customers want your infrastructure to be fast, fat, and flat - quite a big challenge for service providers already. Unless you are providing deep professional services, you “can’t” know anything about customers applications. What are the odds that your specific (mostly manual VLAN, VPN, handful of OS distros) will meet all your customers’ specific application needs. Let customers control addressing, protocol, topology and security. Let customers bring their own images and “dev ops” infrastructure. Provide a foundation of pluggable application services that lets customers have monitoring, logging, IDS/XDS, identity, etc. by default - or bring their own. Let them bring it all - they will be happier and your life will be easier. @cohesiveFT #cloudexpoEU3 Copyright CohesiveFT - Jan 23, 2013 18Wednesday, January 23, 13
