Therefore, the first task for a new fiscal yearis to carry forward the balance from the previous year. In general, the purpose ofbalance carry forward is to: • Create opening balances in the new fiscal year • Assign current year retained earnings to prior year retained earnings • Roll up prior year values into new year opening balances if necessaryAccount Reclassification: Account transformation rule enables us to reclassify thedata or records. This business rule is used to calculate cash flow and perform otherrealignments of data. That is why this rule is also called account transformation.
