What I Care realised is that… <ul><li>In order to find a sustainable solution we must find the cause of the problem and address it </li></ul><ul><li>Stop giving the children money on the streets </li></ul><ul><li>Work with the parents to educate, support and help finance them if necessary </li></ul><ul><li>Co-ordination with government and their initiatives is imperative to a sustainable solution </li></ul><ul><li>Children need to be re-habilitated before they can be admitted to a shelter or sent back home </li></ul><ul><li>Job creation and skills development programmes are essential for creation of effective members of society </li></ul>

Education <ul><li>I Care Christian School </li></ul><ul><li>Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) programme </li></ul><ul><li>Bridging education to cover the gaps in schooling </li></ul><ul><li>Allows individual progress and attention at a pace suitable to the child </li></ul><ul><li>Possible to get a full matric certificate or be admitted to mainstream schooling </li></ul>
