Or you could very well find yourself searching for a new provider not very far down the road. Which is something you would really love to avoid, because moving a site is anything but easy.   • Disk Space Disk Space is the amount of space that you are allocated for your website. If your on a host now look at what you have and add at least 20% to that number to be on the safe side. More if you know your growing big.
  • Bandwidth Bandwidth is the amount of data that your host will let you and your visitors upload and download in a given month. Unlimited doesn’t always mean unlimited How much are you going to pay if you go over?
  • EMAIL POP vs. IMAP How many accounts can you have if you need to create more accounts?
  • Accessibility Can you access the server to do what you want? Shared accounts don’t allow root access in most cases, so if you’re a developer this is important to know. Both for yourself or your offering a service.
  • Customer Service This will make a break your experience with a web hosting service.
