Put your logo in the header of a Blogger blog Put your logo in the header of a Blogger blog Presentation Transcript

  • Put your logo in the header of a Blogger blog A step-by-step guide Claudia Bellusci – Feb. 2007
  • Getting a logo
    • You can make your own logo in one of these websites:
    • Official Seal Generator
    • http://www.says-it.com/seal/index.php
    • CoolArchive Logo Generator
    • http://www.coolarchive.com/logogenerator.php
    • Famous Logo Generator
    • http://logo54.com/
    • Ultimate Sign Generator
    • http://www.2on.com/signs/
    • Startup Company Names and Logos Generator
    • http://lekkerdesign.com/ray/folio/projects/ecompanies/ecompanies.htm
  • Open your template Click on the Edit HTML tab
    • Download the template and save it into your computer
  • Scroll down through the code until you get to the <body> section. This is almost at the bottom. This is what you will see:
    • <body>
    • <div id='outer-wrapper'>
    • <div id='header-wrapper'>
    • <b:section class='header' id='header' maxwidgets='1'>
    • <b:widget id='HTML5' locked='false' title='' type='HTML'/>
    • <b:widget id='Header1' locked='true' title='Cyberteachers (Header)' type='Header'/>
    • </b:section>
    • </div>
  • Change the '1' next to maxwidgets= for a ‘2' and save the changes
  • Click on Page Elements. You’ll see a new box has appeared above your blog header Click on Add a Page Element
  • Choose the HTML/JavaScript box and click on Add to blog
  • If your logo is saved in your computer, paste the image URL enclosed in the following tags:
    • <img src=”IMAGE URL” align=right>
    • You can change the alignment to the left if you wish.
  • If you have created your logo online, copy and paste the code provided
  • Preview and save Mmm… it seems I’m too big for this header!
  • How to resize the logo
    • You can also resize the picture in case it doesn’t fit the header height. You will have to add the following string:
    • WIDTH=&quot;XX&quot;HEIGHT=&quot;XX“
    • where the “XX” is a figure that represents your image desired width and height.
If the inserted logo is too big or too small, you can edit the element from the layout tab and change the width and height values.
    • The resulting code would be:
    <img src=”IMAGE URL” WIDTH=&quot;XX&quot;HEIGHT=&quot;XX&quot;align=right>
  • Preview and save Now I‘m perfect!!
