Compare and contrast calling on a cell phone and a regular phone
Though the contribution of mobile phones and landline phones is great, they have lots of
advantage and disadvantages too. Even though there is a wide range of difference between
landlines and mobiles, the purpose of speaking is served in both the phones. Nowadays both
phones have become an integrated part in everyone’s life.
The basic plus point in landline phones is they cannot be carried anywhere. It can be seen in
homes and offices. On the other hand the cell phones can be carried anywhere due to its size
and structure. Besides anyone can make calls at any point of time. Any how landline cannot
challenge the features of mobile phones. The weakness of cell phones is to keep them charged
where as it is not needed in landline phones.

Attending a call in mobile phone is easy when it is compared with landline phone. In landline
phone, people have to sit in a place to attend a call. But in mobile phones, it is not necessary.
They can walk and do some other works while attending a call. In case, if the person gets more
than one call, he can activate the conference system, which allows more persons to speak with
in a group. Mobile phones have the facility to see the call records. So if the call is missed by
chance, he can ring up the number to get the contact again. This facility is not available in
landline phones. Mobile phones has voice recording facility which allows to record calls live.
In order to prevent accidents, an accessory called Blue tooth is now provided with some
particular brand mobiles. Once the accessory is fixed in the ear, then there is no need to take
mobile phones from its cover. It allows attending the call even without touching the mobile. So,
most of the road accidents due to mobile calls are prevented. But this feature is not at all
available in landline phones. No calls from the landline can be attended, if the people are not in
the house or offices. This problem is nullified in mobile phones.
