This new approach offers a more tailored way for you to work with the Investors in People Standard.

How it will work
This means a closer, more consultative working relationship with your Investors in People adviser and assessor.
Your Investors in People adviser and assessor will establish what your business priorities are at the start ,then identify the most relevant parts of the framework for your organisation and its particular needs. We advocate having a meeting with the senior management team to agree the focus .
Experience is showing that this maximises the value of working with Investors in People and development actions feed into your annual business planning .

What has not changed
The Investors in People Standard remains the core level of good practice
We still support and help improve employers of all types, sizes and sectors
Customers only need to work with the areas and guidance that suit their business needs
Oth er tools/guidance remain valid such as Interactive
Customers will still be reviewed every three years.

The Standard plus 76 additional evidence requirements or more will be recognised as Investors in People Silver .
The Standard plus 126 additional evidence requirements or more will be recognised as Investors in People Gold .
A long service award recognises those accredited for 10+ years.
