Representation in media studies looks at theway people may be mis-represented in themedia.Representation often links with stereotypes –particularly negative stereotypes.Representation also deals with under-represented groups – groups that tend not tofeature in mainstream media products – groupsthat might feel excluded from mainstreamsociety.
