    Single Product: A true converged infrastructure encompasses every facet of engineering and manufacturing an individual IT product and applies them to a fully integrated converged infrastructure system. VCE’s system specification defines strict architectural standards of what and how IT components are designed together, while VCE’s release compatibility matrix (RCM) defines the full envelope of supported present and future hardware and software revisions.

    Single Point of Management: VCE consolidates component element managers, discovers system hardware, and aggregates complete system configuration information, health and logs. Validates system software to the RCM. Compiles a single object view and makes it available to vCenter or other management frameworks. NEW: VCE Vision™ can identify out of revision software on any component and perform “push button” updates. Validation is being extended from RCM to the VCE Security Hardening Guide. VCE has developed a VMware integration to VMware vCenter Log Insight. OEM of vCenter Ops Mgr (now GA) and supporting the product. Potential ability to manage across more than one Vblock System using a system called SMI?

    Single support: VCE support engineers are cross-trained on all components within a Vblock System, and also on how the components are assembled into a true converged infrastructure. VCE understands how to support the system as a product above and beyond as a collection of components. Further, VCE’s process and ticketing system is integrated directly into support systems of investor companies so that if an escalation is needed, VCE maintains responsibility and control throughout the customer interaction.

    Optimized environment: through comprehensive characterization of standardized converged infrastructure, VCE accomplished focused integration with leading horizontal and vertical applications. VCE simplifies application deployment and ongoing operations by extending Vblock System concepts of standardization and automation to the runtime environment.
