'...The good news is that for all networking professionals the market is rapidly transforming and it allows customers to have choice from multiple vendors, all with broad capabilities.' This statement would have been applicable anytime over the last 15 years and will likely remain true for the foreseeable future. The central issue is also unchanged, which vendor or vendors can provide the required solutions that enables the businesses to be more responsive, productive, competitive and deliver positive business outcomes. The debate we're having on Wednesday invites customers to consider network TCO through the broader lenses of capital cost AND opportunity cost.
