Last year Cisco's Advanced Services Security Posture Assessment (SPA) team dazzled the crowd with a display of real hacking attacks the team performs during numerous penetration tests for customers. This year we'll up the ante with more information from the other side of the trenches: social engineer hacks that work, recent public hacking incidents and how they may relate to you, and more! This session highlights methods and vectors used by the SPA Team including live examples. Participants will witness client attacks that bypass firewall and intrusion prevention systems, post-access exploitation of Windows and UNIX operating systems, as well as exploitation of Oracle databases and much more. After this session participants will leave with a deeper understanding of the techniques, methods, and vectors hackers/attackers use to gain access to network/host infrastructures, and how they can use this information to help defend them.
