    2. What is Counterurbanisation?
      • Counterurbanisation describes the movement of people and jobs from urban to rural areas.
    3. What evidence exists to support this?
      • Census data – collected every 10 years.
      • In Liverpool the population is 439, 473 (2001), 36100 less than in 1991

      • In Flintshire, the population in 2001 was 148,594. This is 6600 higher than in 1991.

      • Rhydymwyn is a small village located 3 miles from Mold in Flintshire. Planning permission granted since the 1960s has led to significant changes to the population of this village. You will find out the impacts of these changes.
      • Task: To investigate the impact of Counterurbanisation on this village (see word document)
