Voices From The Past - Presentation Transcript

    1. Voices From the Past Impacting the Present
      • Before departing for Poland and France, students and staff convened at the Toronto Holocaust Centre for a day of sensitivity training and team building activities on 30 June 2009.
      • On that day, they also toured the museum and learned about the life story of a Holocaust survivor.
      • At the end of the day, each participant was presented with a letter written by an individual who had survived the Holocaust. The letters were to be opened at the end of the tour at Auschwitz.
      • On 14 August 2009, the feast of St. Maximilian Kolbe, students and staff were introduced to the authors of their letters.
