  • HOW WE CAME TOGETHER …Local health department (LHD) directors inNorthern IL region began meeting informally in1999. Soon there was a realization that areaLHDs shared:• Similar demographics and health status concerns• Progressive view of the role of Public Health• Concern for public health funding
  • FORMALIZING THE RELATIONSHIPIncorporated as a 501(c)(4) in 2002Established Bylaws, Dues Structure, Board of Directors / OfficersEight Founding Counties: Chicago Lake Cook McHenry DuPage Will Kane WinnebagoMembership has grown to also include: Kendall Grundy Skokie
