Poster Evaluation

 1. 1. Movie Poster
Evaluation

2. 2. Evaluation!
In this slideshow, Im going to evaluate my Movie Poster.
To do this I constructed a questionnaire for each and handed it out to a few classmates who completed questionnaires for my primary research, and also to a few newer people so I can get a wider range of results and opinions.
3. 3. Magazine Cover
As you can see, most of those taking part in my evaluation are female. What else is there to say?
As you can see, the majority of people who completed my evaluative questionnaire. This works particularly well as my target audience was people in the area.
4. 4. A fairly positive outcome! 17 out of 20 thought the poster looked authentic. Im more than happy with that 
5. 5. Hmm. Not the best result, but still not bad if you ask me! In all fairness, I think the poster is a little too bland to be eye catching. I needed more colour- But this didn’t really match the feel for the whole film. A dark film cant really have much colour!
6. 6. What stands out most in the poster?
The main character
The eyes
The title
YAY! Exactly what I was hoping. 17 people said eyes. This is the effect I was aiming for with my poster. I wanted the eyes to stand out from the poster, giving the image a sense of eeriness. Needless to say, this shows that the eyes DO stand out.
7. 7. Is there anything you would add to the poster?
Comments from magazines/reviews
A little more colour
More credits/logos at the bottom
Make the quote bigger
No!
(x13)
Quite a few people have answered ‘no’ to this, must be a good sign? Right. There seems to be quite a few things to change/add though. Hmm. I think the most relatable comment would be ‘A little more colour’ It has shown obvious that the poster may not be eye catching enough, this may solve that problem.
8. 8. Is there anything you would take away from the poster?
Some of the darkness
No
(x16)
Lots of no’s. Nothing much I can say to that really. Apart from one suggestion of my own, the quote. Looking back I think the poster may be more effective without the quote in it.
I do also realise that the poster is quite dark, though again, this matches and gives insight to the genre/feel of the film.
9. 9. Close between 4 and 5*But an overall 4* 
