  • 18. •there are 47 people out of 100 who knows aboutgenetic disease• this is due to respondent’s education background•some of the respondents comes from a lowereducation level, that is SRP (PMR) and SPM•even there are respondents that comes fromhigher education level such as master and Ph.D, but they might not in biology field
  • 19. •among the 100 respondents that took part in thesurvey, there are 17 people that suffering geneticdisorder•among these 100 respondents, there are 13people who have family members that sufferinggenetic disorder
  • 20. •with that set of data we can conclude that thereare 13% of Malaysian that are suffering geneticdisorder•13 out of 100 Malaysian have the possibility tosuffer genetic disorder•Malaysian have small probability to suffer geneticdisease•
  • 21. •17 people that will isolate their family members ifthey found out that their family members possessgenetic disorder•this data shows that people will take precautionmethod to avoid from person that having thisproblem• also we can assume that these people are disliketo those who are suffering genetic disorder thatmake them try isolate even if they are their familymembers
  • 22. •in general, Malaysian have the basic knowledgeand information about what is genetic disease.•this is because most of them get the informationthrough flyers that are given to them•however according to the data collected, thereare only a few respondents that get informationthrough internet
  • 23. •this shows that people are don’t bother to lookfor information and get to know about this matter•this indicates that Malaysian are less concernabout this matter•however, there are 75 respondents who answerthat the cause of genetic disorder is throughgenetic•this show that they are aware the cause of thismatter
  • 24. •data collected shows that there are 39respondents who will not do medical check up•while only 9 person that have been consultingdoctor’s service•also there are 11 respondents that said theynever think about to do a medical check up• besides that, there are only a few respondentsthat have ever been attending a talk regardinggenetic disorder
  • 25. •here we can make conclusion that Malaysian arenot pay much attention to their own health
  • 26. •so far we can conclude that, Malaysian are notwell informed about the general information ofgenetic disease, but they already know roughlyabout those disease•Malaysian also are less concern about the threatof genetic disease where they didn’t care enoughabout this matter
  • 27. •this might because the low probability ofMalaysian to get infected by genetic disease byonly 13 person out of 100 citizens have the chanceof infected with it• because of that people are less concern aboutthis matter
  • 28. •however in this study, the data collected cannotbe 100% trusted•we cannot ignore that there might be somerespondents that didn’t answer on what heknow, instead he playing around by choose otheroption when answering the survey•besides that, the value 13% in this study cannotrepresent the citizen of Malaysia because thereare only 100 person that took part the surveybecause the respondents might didn’t representthe whole state in Malaysia
  • 29. •the research period should be prolong in order toget more respondents to answer the survey•this research also shouldn’t only consider theanswer from the web, but the questionaire alsoshould be distributed manually in order to getmore data
  • 30. Malaysian are generallyknow the basic of genetic disease but they are lessconcern about this matter
