Before this, there had been no lasting contact between the New World (theAmericas) and the Old World (Europe, Africa, Asia). Beginning with the Portuguesein the mid-1400’s, European explorers went on voyages of discovery, in search ofriches and glory. The places and people that they came in contact with, as well as theexploring nations themselves, were forever changed.TASK:• Identify and explain at least THREE factors that led to exploration.
