Cabinet and Computer <ul><li>The cabinet can be </li></ul><ul><li>Located anywhere </li></ul><ul><li>convenient, as it </li></ul><ul><li>doesn’t need to be </li></ul><ul><li>close to the actual </li></ul><ul><li>work area . . . </li></ul><ul><li>as the Measuring tower </li></ul><ul><li>has it own “PDS” </li></ul><ul><li>(personal display system). </li></ul>
  3. 3. Measuring towers <ul><li>There is a measuring </li></ul><ul><li>tower on each side of </li></ul><ul><li>the vehicle. Each </li></ul><ul><li>measuring tower has </li></ul><ul><li>its own handheld and </li></ul><ul><li>measuring arm that </li></ul><ul><li>can be extended or </li></ul><ul><li>retracted. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Rails <ul><li>A measuring rail is </li></ul><ul><li>mounted on each </li></ul><ul><li>side of the rack for </li></ul><ul><li>the measuring </li></ul><ul><li>towers to roll on. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Wheel alignment <ul><li>Wheel alignment </li></ul><ul><li>is very easy to do . . . </li></ul><ul><li>simply press the </li></ul><ul><li>alignment button on </li></ul><ul><li>the handheld and </li></ul><ul><li>follow the instructions </li></ul><ul><li>on the display screen. </li></ul>
  6. 6. Reports <ul><li>Reports can be </li></ul><ul><li>done before, during </li></ul><ul><li>and after the repairs … </li></ul><ul><li>along with before and </li></ul><ul><li>after wheel alignment. </li></ul>
  7. 7. Measuring toe angle <ul><li>Measuring toe is </li></ul><ul><li>done by measuring </li></ul><ul><li>the rear of the wheel </li></ul><ul><li>then the front of the </li></ul><ul><li>wheel… </li></ul>
  8. 8. Measuring camber angle <ul><li>Measuring camber </li></ul><ul><li>angle is done by </li></ul><ul><li>measuring the bottom </li></ul><ul><li>of the wheel, then the </li></ul><ul><li>Top of the wheel. </li></ul>

Measuring caster angle… <ul><li>Caster angle is done </li></ul><ul><li>by turning the front wheel </li></ul><ul><li>inward 10 degrees and </li></ul><ul><li>measuring the camber </li></ul><ul><li>angle. Then turn the </li></ul><ul><li>wheel outward 10 degrees </li></ul><ul><li>and measure the camber </li></ul><ul><li>angle. The computer will do </li></ul><ul><li>the calculating and display </li></ul><ul><li>the caster angle. </li></ul>
