  • In 2012, a unique multi-disciplinary partnership between the Nepean Hospital, Sydney Clinical School Nepean, and the institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology (BMET), University of Sydney, was established to innovate in new Telehealth technologies. Nepean is the ‘mother ship’ hospital to many of its surrounding facilities – the ability to provide same quality-of-care is our primarily objective – this, we will achieve with Telehealth

The Problem › To develop, evaluate and implement best practice Telehealth Technology in the Nepean and Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) and surrounding areas of Mid and Western New South Wales - Blue Mountains Hospital, Lithgow Hospital, Springwood Hospital and Hawkesbury Hospital › We aim to allow access to equal quality of healthcare to all patients, regardless of their geographical location. 5
