Shooting Schedules and Call
Sheets
We have decided to shoot our trailer backwards because Nathan will not be free for filming between the dates of October
24th and November 2nd
In regards to filming backwards: we will be filming the montage scene and final scene, first –We have a decided that for our
final scene, there will be a bloodied hand slammed against onto the leaves and dirt (with a large boom) its nails will then be
sunk into the dirt as the hand is dragged backwards through the dirt with one final screech.
Then, we will be filming the montage scene sequence: within this scene there will be profile shots of each cast member
lasting around 1-2 seconds per shot. This will be introduced using flashing sequences and jump cut editing (A cut that creates
a lack of continuity by leaving out parts of the action.)
These shots will include
- Bloodied shots of the casts faces (extreme close ups)
- Medium shots of the cast running
- Point of view shots through the camera of someone running
- Alongside shots of people running and screams.
Following this, I believe we will be filming the campsite scene. This is where the main events will take place: this will
include the point of view shot from the bushes of the camp site, followed to rustling throughout the bushes: using jump cut
editing and eye level shots of the campsite, followed by low angle shots of cast member looking into the woodland.
Then we will be filming the scenes of the campsite. These will be joyful, relaxed scenes however, they will be shot from a
mid/high angle: this will illustrate the group’s vulnerability. This scene will be used as the final joyful scene which will lead
up to the montage and point of view shots.
We will then be filming the first scenes over the weekend commencing November 7th due to Nathan being unavailable until
this date – these scenes will consist of an establishing shot of a Renault Clio climbing a hill, followed by mid/profile shots of
the cast within the Renault Clio introducing the joyful, happy, relaxed situation. Within this time space we will also be
filming the found footage scenes – this means it will be as natural as we can make the reactions and bond as natural as
possible.
Cast Introduction:
During filming, I am using a cast comprised of my own friendship group. I
have chosen to do so as this will illustrate the bond I wish to portray.
I am part of a tight nit friendship group, each with individual characteristics
which are highlighted and enhanced within our friendship circle. Rarely is
there a dull or low moment within our group however when it comes to
serious situations: we work together as a team to face each and every
problem. We have a very tight friendship group and rarely a day goes by
where we aren’t together.
My cast for this will be my close friends: Jake Shilson, Nathan Gravett, Katie
Horton and Jayne Wilmot however there will be others on set: at times this
may include Nathan Bartlett and Kerry Garnham. I feel like this will enhance
the friendly atmosphere I wish to illustrate.

Filming Day One: Monday, November 27th
We will begin filming the montage scenes during the early evening we will be
filming the montage scenes. This will include:
Then, we will be filming the montage scene sequence: within this scene there

Filming Day Two: Tuesday, November 28th
This will be another day in which we wont be filming until the early
evening as it corresponds with the lighting we wish to use. During this
time I feel like we may need another day to film the montage scene
however this may also include the beginning of the stalking and
camping scenes (the scenes in which the cast go looking for the ‘thing’
they have caught glimpses of as well some of the point of view shots.
Filming Day Three: Wednesday, November
29th
During this evening we will be filming the scenes of the campsite.
These will be joyful, relaxed scenes however, they will be shot from a
mid/high angle: this will illustrate the group’s vulnerability. This scene
will be used as the final joyful scene which will lead up to the montage
and point of view shots.
Editing/Photoshoot Day One: Thursday
Following the three days of filming: We will spend the following period
editing the montage scenes and the scenes leading up to the main
camping scene.
Moreover, we may also use this time to begin the ancillary tasks along
with the photo shoots.
Filming Day Four and Five: Saturday,
November 8th and Sunday, November 9th
During this day we plan on filming the very first scenes, this will
include the car scenes – these scenes will include the joyful, main car
and camping scenes (the scenes in which we need ALL cast members)
These scenes will consist of an establishing shot of a Renault Clio
climbing a hill, followed by mid/profile shots of the cast within the
Renault Clio introducing the joyful, happy, relaxed situation. Within this
time space we will also be filming the found footage scenes – this
means it will be as natural as we can make the reactions and bond as
natural as possible.
