  • As part of this Blueprint, two locations within Iskandar Malaysia have been identified to become MSC Malaysia locations, namely Menara MSC Cyberport within the Johor Bahru city centre and Bandar MSC Cyberport, a 150 acre location where the Second link and the North South Highway to Kuala Lumpur meet.
  • Menara MSC Cyberport was Conferred MSC Malaysia Cybercentre status by the Prime Minister of Malaysia on the 28th of June 2006. It is a30-storey building which is strategically located just right next to the new CIQ complex & n ext to the causeway to Singapore. It is home to a host of facilities including technology Labs and incubation centers.

This location will target global IT-based companies as well as the IT-arms of Multinational Corporations.   • I am also pleased to announce that MSC Cyberport Johor has signed a Memorandum of Undestanding with Sunil Mantri Realty of India to develop Bandar MSC Cyberport, a 150 acre location within Iskandar Malaysia. This Cybercity will be a comprehensive 24 hour global city that will compromise of residential, offices and recreational facilities with State of the art ICT infrastructure at much lower costs than neighbouring locations. This Cybercity is also strategically located 20 minutes away from the Second Link to Singapore which makes it a suitable for location for back-office outsourcing operations.

  • Background of MSC Cyberport Johor
    • The 17th MSC Implementation Council Meeting on the 21 st of June 2004 outlined the national rollout of MSC Malaysia to other states within Malaysia under the MSC Cybercity/Cybercenter project.
    • The State Of Johor headed by the Chief Minister has been driving the expansion of MSC Malaysia to Johor and has appointed a public-private partnership MSC Cyberport Sdn. Bhd., to drive the expansion of MSC Malaysia to Johor.
    • The MSC Malaysia areas in Johor covers Bandar MSC Cyberport in Kulai and Menara MSC Cyberport in Johor Bahru.
    • The Multimedia Development Corporation has designated both locations as MSC Malaysia areas.

    • The proposed Bandar MSC Cyberport will be developed in 3 phases , starting from 2009 over a 8-year period.
