Discovering Computers - Course Technology Computing Conference
Presenter: Mark Frydenberg, Bentley University
As the "intro course" continues to evolve, instructors continue to grapple with selecting technology concepts and topics to teach and supporting classroom activities that will motivate student learning. So do textbook authors! This session presents an author/teacher's view of tech trends and topics that are entering the introductory computing curriculum, ways to teach them, and suggestions on how to stay up to date with technology and still find time to sleep. Mark Frydenberg is "the new guy" on the Discovering Computers team, where he contributed several mini features and activities on emerging technology topics. Mark teaches the introductory information technology course at Bentley University and is also the director of its CIS Learning and Technology Sandbox. He is a sought-after speaker at faculty development and training events.
