  • 4. Roles of each webinar participant
    • Organizer : Nicola Tavares
      • Starts and manages the webinar
      • Manages audience questions
    • Panelist : Those who have been designated to present information to the audience.
      • Can control their audio by muting and un-muting themselves
      • May share their screen with the audience
    • Presenter : The person who is currently sharing their screen
      • One presenter at a time
      • Can be a panelist or the organizer
    • Attendee : The webinar audience of the webinar
      • On mute during the entire session
      • Cannot share their screen
  • 5. Step 1: Signing into the webinar
  • 6. Before signing on to the webinar: Open up your email to your webinar invitation that you received You will receive a separate email with the password
  • 7. Signing on to the webinar This warning-security pop-up box will be displayed. Click “Yes” The session will begin once Reggie or Lisa signs in
  • 8. Before joining the webinar:
    • Sign in 25 minutes before scheduled start time of the webinar to test your audio and ask any questions to organizers.
    • Have your PowerPoint Presentation open and minimized on your taskbar.
    • Turn your phone ringer off or forward your messages to voicemail.
    • Close your email and “pop-up” items at the bottom right-hand side of your task-bar.

    • Your control panel is made up of several blocks
    • The control panel will extend down your screen.
    • To minimize certain blocks, click on the plus or minus sign located on the upper left hand side of each block.
  • 12. Panelist: Your control panel Check your sound before the presentation starts If you have any questions, type them here Select who you want to send this message to Choose telephone Choose VoIP if you have a headset with a microphone Grab tab Click arrows to open or minimize control panel View presentations full screen Microphone on / mute Don’t use “hold” on the telephone
  • 13. Presenter: Screen control has just been delegated to you
    • Click on your PowerPoint presentation to open it full screen.
    • A pop-up box will appear asking if you would like to be presenter.
  • 14. Presenter: Screen control has just been delegated to you
    • Click the drop down arrow, show my screen, then clean screen.
    • Hit F5 to start your PowerPoint presentation.
  • 15. Presenter: Sharing your screen Make sure you are not on mute
  • 16. Organizers/Presenters Viewing and organizing questions
  • 17. Receiving questions Expand this box by clicking on the arrow (left of the [X]) You will receive technical and content related questions from attendees here
