    • ADDENDUM 1 May 15, 2008 Page 2 of 10 Question #1 Based on the information provided in the RFP, I am trying to understand if Spring Branch ISD is looking for proposals on competitive VoIP systems or specifically a ShoreTel VoIP telephone system? Answer SBISD has standardized on the ShoreTel VoIP telephone system. Question #2 Does the district currently utilize Shoretel VoIP, if so how many units and how many phones are connected to it? Additionally, how many VoIP and how many analog phones? Answer SBISD currently utilizes ShoreTel VoIP in two facilities. See Attachment C for the list of equipment at each site. Attachment C can be found at the following web address: http://www.springbranchisd.com/admin/purch/purchase/bid.htm and attached to this addendum. Question #3 The RFP mentions that it needs to support SIP. Does this mean SIP trunking, or internal SIP? Many phone systems support SIP trunking, but many do not support internal SIP (which is the industry standard). Answer The proposed system will need to support both SIP trunking and internal SIP. Question #4 There are 4 locations but will they have Analog CO’s or PRI? Answer SBISD utilizes DID lines over PRI’s through two district sites for everyday use. SBISD also utilizes analog CO’s for 911. Question #5 Are there any SLT devices needed at any locations? Answer No Question #6 For each location, how many Personal Call Manager’s and/or Extension only licenses? Answer Please see Attachment D for the list of requested instruments and licenses per site. Please itemize the pricing of the instruments and licenses in your proposal, based upon Attachment D. Question #7 Please provide a diagram of your network infrastructure. Answer Please see Attachment E for a diagram of the SBISD network infrastructure. However, if not, where can I find the individual details pertaining the port counts, trunks, set types, etc. for each of the four (4) sites included in this RFP? Answer #11 SBISD currently utilizes 2 PRI's with 100 DID trunks, of which 15 are currently in use for VoIP by the two SBISD sites currently outfitted with VoIP systems.
