  2. 2.  Development of Alumni Associations  More involvement of Alumni in what concerns projects and product development  RYLF ( we can organize then a big event also for Alumni)  Alumni working in companies/ owning companiesNational level Strengths Weaknesses  The area’s awareness has increased and  Not all the LC’s work on this area most of the LC’s know how to work with it because they do not have a responsible  Implementation of national strategies in key  Some of the LC’s still do not treat Alumni LC’s as an important stakeholder and they do  GCP from AIESEC Iasi. Bucuresti, Galati not offer concrete benefits  More involvement from Alumni at all  It is hard to change the mindset the levels: financial, consultancy or regarding this area education  Lot of time wasted working on ELA and  Most of the LC’s that had people not on GIP strategies responsible of this area have now BOA  Small percent of revenues coming Alumni from Alumni area  BOA Alumni at national level works  Small number of GIPi coming from constantly with members of the MC Alumni Development area  Contract signed with HPDI (trainings company) which delivers constantly trainings in conferences and not only Opportunities Threats  GIP campaign launched which starts to  Constant changing of VP AD and bring benefits strategy  Connection between Alumni and partners (  Not making follow up and deliver small dinner with partners, BOA Corporate promises and BOA Alumni)  Alumni are still reluctant regarding in  Early transition with the next MCVP AD what they invest in AIESEC  BOA Alumni in every LC( even in the small ones because now they have 3 year experience)  LOT and RYLF  H4TF could be provider for Outgoing Programs  Capitalize on the commissions of BOA for each program2. Write down the main pillars and their steps of implementation of your Alumni Developmentstrategy for the year 2013 – 2014 taking into consideration the 2015 vision.
  3. 3. Directions MeansGrowth on exchange Develop and implement H4TF strategy to increase the number of GIPo Implement GIPi Campaign to increase the number of experiences delivered on GIPiGrowth on financial support Towards members development: Alumni donations, organize team buildings, conferences with full Alumni support, etc Towards exchange : National Fund , 2 %, 3 ‰, Efficient event management in order to bring profit and establish a positive cash flowAlumni involvement Consultancy at national level : BOA and commissions for programs & product developments Education for members: coaching and mentoring system, constant preparation for members, middle and top management at conferences, etc LLC development and implementation Positioning of AIESEC rebranding campaigns through show casing of our final product, help in providing leads for GIPi, help in signing partnerships( educational )More details about directions and strategy you will see in MCC.3. Write down the description and the plan of implementation for minimum 2 new products thatthe Alumni Development area can deliver in the year to come and generate money (other thaninternships).National fund - there are a lot of Alumni that don’t have the time and the possibility to involve in AIESEChow they would like to but they are willing to invest money to compensate their lack of involvement. So Ihave thought on a product that implies gathering money from Alumni in a fund of donationsallocated for PBoX-es sustainability, CEEDerships incoming and outgoing on the exchange areas orother activities that imply growth on exchange programs. How I am going to implement this is through the next steps: 1. Create the description and implementation plan for the product development together with the LCVP’s Alumni and NST 2. Come with the motion in BOA meeting and also in meetings with Alumni for feedback both on idea and implementation plan 3. *Readapt after feedback ( only if it’s needed) 4. Create the action plan, communication strategy, split responsibilities for each NST member. 5. Implement the communication plan and evaluate the results 6. Start gathering money in a special fund created together with MCVP Finance 7. Require from MCVP’s exchange ways of using the money and start use the fund for exchange activities 8. Follow up and reports sent to Alumni with the usage of money and the results brought (if they are short term coming results)
  4. 4. The second product development Alumni Donations is a product based on improvement of the previousAIESEC scholarship in order to bring more results on the profit side and also impact more members intheir development. I want to improve this product development for two reasons. One it keeps Alumniinvolved and close to the members and their development and the second one is that it brings in membersmind the mindset that Alumni are involved in the organization, that are willing to help members in orderto develop themselves and the organization. For example, in Iasi, there was a social campaign through which alumni have gathered an amount of moneythey are investing 2 times per year in members in order to bring results but also to take initiative. The strategy and the steps for implementing this product are: 1. Improve and develop the plan for Alumni donations, establish criteria and way of giving it 2. Receive feedback from Alumni and find people willing to involve 3. Gather money in that specific fund 4. Start the promo and launch applications at national level 5. Select members that will receive 6. Give the money 7. Follow up 8. Continuous fundraising for that fund from all the Alumni.Thinking about other products that brought us money in the past I realize that It’s not necessarily a newproduct but more of an improvement on event management for big events/conferences that we areorganizing for Alumni and with the help of Alumni and companies. For example we could focus more onLOT and ELA in order to generate more money as profit. A strategy will be to have a second event like ELAwhen NC is happening or SprinCo.Beside these product developments I will keep the focus on national level and I will give directions to thelocal level to involve Alumni more on campaigns like 2 %, 3‰ and also have a focus on events that requirefund raising from Alumni (AIESEC anniversaries, Alumnization events, Alumni week-end, etc)4. Write down the strategy for product development (how and what will you use in order todevelop such a product) and product placement (how will you make sure it’s bought and how willyou sell it) of GIP Incoming and Outgoing on the Alumni market.GIP incoming product development& placement strategyAt the moment we have a campaign of Raising on GIPi on Alumni Development area at national level whichI think we should continue because the results are starting to appear. If on this term the focus was onmaking an awareness campaign of what we are trying to do and how we could do it for Alumni tounderstand the need of help from them, starting with the transition time but especially on the next termshould be applied the strategy of doing things. And this both nationally and locally (Leading byexample from MCVP first and further from LCVP’s). So my product development is actuallyimplementing all the steps of signing a TN on Alumni Development Area.Steps Activities Timeline ResponsibleMembers Webinars, functional meetings( Sprinco), local January-March MCVP & LCVPpreparation trainingsCommunication Promo on each group for Alumni both local and January 2013 MCVP & LCVPcampaign national of what we want to do, results, etc until the end of the

The steps for implementing this strategy are:Steps Activities Timeline ResponsibleH4TF strategy Design and concept of H4TF strategy towards March-April MCVP at exchange with feedback from MCVP OGX and national level Alumni and LCVP’s localResearch and Research on the platform for supply and April-June MCVP andcommunication demand LCVP’splan Communication plan/strategy based on peaks of exchangeFeedback Feedback from MCVP Communication, OGX June MCVP and AlumniCareer Planning Based on details from exit interview we make All the time LCVP and AD Career Planning even with Alumni or OGX department membersPromotion Constant promo of internships on H4TF all the time LCVP and AD groups, one to one, meetings departmentEvents Constant events for interaction between H4TF All the time LCVP and AD and returnees departmentFollow up After each member leaves together with OGX All the time LCVP AD and department made customer care and follow OGX and also up for them members
  6. 6. 5. How do you envision AIESEC Romanias Alumni Network in the next 3 years and what will yourcontribution be towards it?An Alumni network should be in my opinion as strong as the organization itself and specially also willing tobring the impact that our vision and values should. The Life Long Connection stage should be a strong oneand the two communities: of Alumni and of H4TF members should work together in order to create truechange agents. How I see that happening is first through creating a strong Alumni Network with involved Alumni andwith some objectives established towards involvement in AIESEC. One of the directions of this AlumniNetwork next step would be create the appropriate environment for interaction between H4TF membersand Alumni, create the right product development together with Alumni in order to “absorb” in the Alumnicommunity. I also see a direction towards more involvement from Alumni in the education cycle ofmembers( mentoring& coaching system at national level, conferences organized by Alumni for memberseducation etc) and also on the exchange part which we are trying to grow year by year( provide more leads,be TN takers, go on exchange on GIP program etc)How can I contribute towards what I envision as an MCVP Alumni is first keep the actual connectionsbetween Alumni and AIESEC, capitalize on them and create product development that helps both AIESECbut also the Alumni community to integrate the H4TF members on the market. Also I can put the base of astrategy for the next years based on product development created on each stakeholders need ( Alumni orH4TF and members). I think a strategy like this will help increase the performance of AIESEC on differentprograms and also grow the number of Alumni involved in AIESEC, number of Alumni and H4TF membersthat collaborate which further will lead to a strong network.
