  2. 2. Expected Outputs & Results • 1. To measure lighting energy consumption as it stands in a University environment. The production of a set of consumer utility models is the core of this objective, as measurements for different hours of the day and for different types of activities characteristic only in a university environment will provide the Cassandra platform with the diverse in nature scenario results required to enhance its effectiveness and efficiency. • 2. Identify parameters that decrease energy consumption without significant reduction of consumer comfort/utility. The Evaluation of lighting design according to standards and for different lighting products, under both user free-of-restrictions actions scenarios and under user imposed actions scenarios (increased consumption awareness level). • 3. To suggest ways of energy consumption reduction (from the user's side of the platform, after running the scenarios) after proper evaluation of various effects of different lighting products.

  5. 5. Scenarios And Scenarios Parameters Parameters Supporting Each Scenario • 1. The monitoring environment (monitoring equipment). • 2. Envisaged indicators required (results of aggregated measurement data). • 3. The related parameters to be measured. • 4. Measurement system (includes specific sensors to be installed and existing systems providing data). • 5. Measurement procedures to be followed (measurement sequence, prerequisites, rate of data gathering (in scientific terms is referred as the “Sampling Rate”)).
