Books are mailed directly to the child monthly.

So go ahead and advocate in a LIVE UNITED world. Do it in public. Be visible. Be loud.

Things we can do to help. When we reach out a hand to one person, we influence the condition of all. Whether it’s reading to children, or leading financial literacy classes for hard-working families, or delivering meals to homebound seniors, there are hundreds of volunteer options available every day.  Give the gift of you. Volunteer.

    • Organize a book drive with your family, co-workers, school, club or faith community.
    • Purchase school supplies for a local school to distribute to children who need them.
    • Enroll your child in a summer reading program at the local library.
    • Take the children in your life to a local museum, exhibit or play.
    • Mentor an at-risk youth at your neighborhood school.

    • Contact your local representative about and issue affecting working people in your community.
    • Bring a child in your life to a bank to have a tour and open up a savings account.

    • Volunteer to prepare tax returns for low-income families.
    • T utor at an adult literacy or technology program.
