1. I am from Auburn, Maine. My current role in education is as a Site Coordinator in a K-8 Professional Development School (PDS) partnership with the University of Southern Maine – Lewiston Auburn Campus. CLASS is a pre-service teacher certification program, which is field based in two site schools, Auburn Middle School and Sherwood Heights Elementary School, both in Auburn. I have always been interested in technology and its use as an educational/learning tool in schools. Integrating technology across the curriculum to motivate and engage children is a priority for me. I also enjoy working with pre-service and in-service teachers to help them integrate technology more effectively in their classrooms. Carol Miller
2. I have been teaching marine, physical and earth science for the past 23 years. During that time I have served on several curriculum committees in Florida, New Hampshire and Maine. Much of my curriculum work involved integrating the current technologies into the classroom. I participated in a group project in conjunction with Florida Institute of Oceanography. We designed a curriculum for teaching many subjects through the 'eyes' of oceanography. In the mid 1990's this project was named as one of the top 5 programs in the country by the National Science Foundation. In 1991 I individually designed a biology curriculum incorporating computers and a TV studio, that year this project received the top international award from IBM. In the past few years I have worked with several teachers and offered several workshops to share my curriculum and to to show others how to use current technology in their classroom. This year I am switching from a classroom teacher to the building technology integrator. Lori Twiss
3. I have been teaching for five years in Lewiston, Maine. Three of those years were in fourth grade and I am currently teaching third grade. Last year I completed my Masters in Technology Education. I am a member of my school technology committee. Mauri Dufour
