    1. River Murray Urban Users Committee Inc. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2008 MurrayCare Foundation & Programs Finalist Premier’s NRM Awards – Best Whole of Community Engagement Volunteer Project
    2. VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
      • We currently have four volunteers working in areas of:
      • project support,
      • administration,
      • media,
      • teacher professional development and
      • website development
    3. COMMUNITY EDUCATION PROGRAM
      • Field Days & Expos
      • Community On-ground Action Project
      • River Exhibition
      • Multicultural Community Water Education Project
      • Sustainable Recreation Project
      • Media (Advertiser and National Geographic).
    4. Sustainable Recreation on the River Murray & Lower Lakes ‘ enjoying recreational activities whilst minimising negative impacts on the environment’
    5. Sustainable Recreation Objectives
      • To “achieve the environmentally sustainable use of the recreational resources of the River Murray and Lower Lakes” by addressing two areas:
      • The restoration of existing degraded sites and the prevention of further damage; and
      • Planning for new recreation areas or activities.

      • Revegetation & bollard fencing with help from Mid Murray Council, Conservation Volunteers Australia, Natural State & Riverland West LAP
