Careerify uses social networking to help Hot Canadian Start-up find employees
TORONTO, Ont. August 21 2009. -- Careerify, a Canadian professional social networking
website for careers, has helped a fellow Canadian start-up company find a new employee
through matching algorithms and social networking. This is the first official hire for employers
using the Careerify network. Careerify is proud of this achievement, and strongly believes they
can bring the same kind of success to thousands of candidates currently looking for a job or a
career change.

the new Benbria employee who previously was employed at IBM Canada. Benbria, a mass
notification and IP paging solutions company, informed Careerify of their intentions to hire the
software developer sourced through Careerify and was made official late last week with a formal
acceptance.
Careerify launched their social network on May 15, 2009 with a core set of employers, which
included Benbria. Careerify has since doubled their user databases on a consistent bases and
has candidates land interviews with employers through their intelligent matching system. Users
fill in a profile of what they want in a job and the skills they have and Careerify’s system
recommends opportunities based on their industries of choice. Much to Navaneeth’s delight, the
system suggested two job opportunities, one which was Benbria. Users are also able to build
their social networks, refer friends to opportunities, and also accumulate rewards through
referring peers.
