What Are You Doing This Is A Doing A TIM FULLERTON, Director of Digital Strategy U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) Tim serves as the Senior Advisor to the Secretary of the Interior for new media and manages all new media staff, consultants, and the DOI-wide Web Leadership Council. A few of Tim’s accomplishments include developing the DOI's first strategic plan to engage with the public using new media, which led to a 1000 percent increase in Twitter followers over a two year period, as well as developing the DOI’s first live streaming program. Due to the success of the new media program, Tim was then asked by Secretary Salazar to lead the digital portion of a new White House initiative to promote travel and tourism within the United States. Previously Tim worked for former Vice President Al Gore’s Alliance for Climate Protection (ACP); Tim managed the organization's 2 million person email list, redesigned the organization's websites (which won a Webby, Silver Addy, and a 2010 Communicators award) and helped develop the Repower America Wall. In 2008, Tim worked for Obama for America where he managed the state-based email program (yes, all 50).

VINSTON PORTER, Director of Online & Social Media Division U.S. Army Public Affairs Vinston, has been serving in the United States Army for almost 19 years. He received his commission as an officer in the Field Artillery after graduating in 1994. He served in a variety of leadership positions for the first 11 years, highlighted by commanding a light howitzer artillery battery in the 25th Infantry Division, in Hawaii. During his tenure at West Point, he earned a Masters Degree in Education with a focus on counseling and leader development from Long Island University. Vinston later transitioned from field artillery to public affairs, and his first assignment in his new career field was with the 3rd Infantry Division, based near Savannah, Ga. He served two tours in Iraq, supporting Operations Iraqi Freedom and New Dawn. At the end of his time in Ga., Vinstonwas selected for the Army’s Training with Industry program, the equivalent of a fellowship, where he worked as part of Google’s public affairs team at the main campus in Mountain View, Calif. He now serves as the director of the Online and Social Media Division for Army Public Affairs at the Pentagon.

What Are You Doing This Is A Doing A NICOLE CALLAHAN, New Media Analyst - Federal Student Aid U.S. Department of Education Nicole is a Digital Engagement Analyst at the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Federal Student Aid. The Digital Engagement Team manages Federal Student Aid’s social media presence which focuses primarily on providing social customer service to students, parents, and borrowers around topics related to preparing, applying and paying for college. In college, Callahan was a founding father of George Washington University's chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity.
  6. 6. What Are You Doing This Is A Doing A BILL GREEVES, Chief Information Officer Wake County, NC Bill currently serves as the Chief Information Officer for Wake County, NC. He previously served as the CIO for Roanoke County, Va. and the Director of Information Technology for the City of Hampton, Va. He has been working in municipal government since 2000, and is the co-author of the Social Media in the Public Sector Field Guide: Designing and Implementing Strategies and Policies from Wiley Publishing. In 2010, Government Technology magazine included him in their list of Top 25 Doers, Dreamers, and Drivers, and in 2012, Public CIO magazine recognized him as "the most social-media savvy" CIO in government.
  7. 7. What Are You Doing This Is A Doing A BILL GREEVES, Social Media Lead Environmental Protection Agency Jessica Orquina is the Social Media Lead for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Prior to joining EPA, she served as a public affairs specialist at another federal agency. She is a former military and commercial airline pilot, turned marketing, communications, and public relations professional. She has a Masters of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of San Francisco in northern California and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Fitchburg State College in Massachusetts. Jessica is strong leader, adept marketer, and highly motivated individual. She has excellent written and verbal communications skills and has experience with in both traditional communications and marketing channels and new social media platforms.

What Are You Doing This Is A Doing A JENNA COVEY, Director of New Media Office of Governor Mark Dayton, MN Jenna is the primary content manager for the Office of Governor Mark Dayton Digital Channels, including the governor’s blog, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube accounts. She works with Minnesota’s state agencies and the governor’s office to turn wonk-speak into understandable content for constituents across the State of Minnesota. Jenna believes the best ideas happen offline, the best projects are powered by collaboration, and the nicest people live in Minnesota. LINDSAY OXFORD, Social Media Coordinator California State Parks Lindsay is the Social Media Coordinator for California State Parks. In addition to creating content, she also provides guidance to administrators for more than 100 park and program-specific social media accounts. She is also the communications chairperson for Alt+Library Friends, supporting efforts to keep young adults of Sacramento connected to their libraries.
