  6. 6. REFEREES • REFEREES ARE USED TO ENFORCE THE RULES AND ENSURE SAFETY. A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE REFEREES IN SOCCER AND OTHER SPORTS IS A REFEREE MAY CONTINUE PLAY AND NOT CALL A FOUL IF THEY BELIEVE STOPPING THE GAME WILL GIVE THE TEAM AN ADVANTAGE IN THE GAME.   7. 7. START OF PLAY • THE KICK OFF WILL BEGIN THE GAME. REFEREES WILL DETERMINE THE KICK OFF TEAM BY TEAM CAPTAINS CHOOSING A SIDE OF A COIN AND FLIPPING IT.   8. 8. BALL IN & OUT OF PLAY • TO CONSIDER THE BALL OUT OF BALL THE BALL MOST LEAVE THE EDGE LINES OF THE FIELD. THE LAST TEAM TO TOUCH THE BALL IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BALL LEAVING THE FIELD. • THE BALL IS IN PLAY WHEN INSIDE ANY PART OF THE FIELD LINES AND GOAL LINES.   10. 10. THROW-IN • A THROW IN WILL TAKE PLACE BY THE OPPOSITE TEAM WHEN THE BALL GOES OUT OF BOUNDS. TO THROW IN THE BALL THE BALL MUST BE THROWN ABOVE THE HEAD AND YOUR FEET MAY NOT ENTER THE FIELD AT ANYTIME. IN A FAIL ATTEMPT OF A THROW IN WILL GIVE THE OTHER TEAM THE BALL.
