  • 06/16/10 Leverages server virtualization for immediate value Pano Logic is the creator of the first zero-touch desktop computer that moves complexity completely out of the workplace so there is nothing left to break or compromise. Pano leverages a 100% hardware device and transforms industry standard servers and virtual infrastructure into a complete desktop virtualization solution that enables businesses to: Dramatically reduce cost of maintaining user desktops Eliminate security risks inherent in traditional PCs Enable end-users fix to problems without IT help

  • 06/16/10 People who we have been speaking with are quickly realizing that the upfront cost of a PC is only a fraction of the overall cost to own that PC. According to IDC, the 3 year TCO for each corporate PC totals over $ 4,500. With today’s PC’s costing as low as $ 600 and the fully loaded corporate PC being a little more than $ 1,300, the vast majority of the cost of owning a PC, the remaining $ 3,200 over three years, is the cost of keeping it up and running. Of course the TCO is only one of the problems with PC’s. PC’s are inherently insecure leaving your company vulnerable to theft & attacks so additional software and resources are needed to protect PC’s. Things like antivirus and anti-malware have already made their way into the TCO and there are continuously new markets emerging such as USB management which add even more costs further driving TCO even higher. PC’s also have a number of limiting factors that inhibits companies from being able to…(session roaming, back-up a desktop environment, etc.)

  • 18. What they are saying about Pano Logic
    • “… Pano has been spending its latest round of VC funding well… picking up WAN, wireless, and improved USB support for its tiny, shiny VDI client.”
“… a pretty simple way to deploy a virtual desktop environment and would be a useful replacement for a full desktop PC….” The updated software package will allow the Pano Logic device to support dual displays and users to access a range of USB devices, such as PDAs and cell phones. The device itself is a small box that connects a keyboard, mouse and other components to an IP-based connection. Pano Logic wants enterprises to "rethink the desktop.”…This week, Pano sculpted a new layer onto its vision and released version 2.0. One of the hot topics that everyone loves to talk about is the datacenter and server virtualization, but the fact is, there are way more desktop machines out there than there are servers. And in some cases, those desktops could be small, shiny silver boxes brought to you by Pano Logic. They’re offering another variation on the desktop virtualization theme - this time based upon a clever, very small, inexpensive client hardware device and software that creates and manages desktop images.
