• Many of you have probably already seen a nice diagram like this. This is our Parallels Vision – Optimized Computing. Our Virtualization Solutions such as Parallels Virtuozzo Containers or the new Parallels Server, our Parallels Open Platform, and in the middle there is Parallels Automation. First product that you will see here is Parallels Virtual Automation which is a new name for Parallels Infrastructure Manager. This product provides virtualization management capabilitie. It is a out-of-the-box product that provides centralized management of multiple Virtuozzo servers. Although, within this diagram it plays much more important role – it works as a glue between virtualization products we have at the bottom and large scale automation products we have in the middle. A major component of our Automation Solutions is Parallels Business Automation <CLICK>. Parallels Business Automation is a “Solution for automating key IT business functions including service ordering and chargeback accounting” it includes many features such as: Online Store Automated Services Ordering Recurring Billing Payment Processing Resource Usage Collection Integration with our Licensing Services Just to name a few. Parallels Business Automation Integrates with our Other Automation Products such as Operation Automation, Virtual Automation but you can also use it as a Standalone Solution and integrate with your own Services.
• Now I would like to present product lines that we are delivering: First of all, there is a ‘Desktop Virtualization” line that includes Parallels Desktop and Parallels Workstation that let’s you transparently run different operating systems on your desktop. Then, there is a “Server Virtualization” line that includes Parallels Virtuozzo Containers (our well known OS-level server virtualization product) and Parallels Server that is hypervisor-based virtualization solution currently in beta stage and planning to become available in final release within next few months. There is a “Server Management” product line which are small-scale automation and management products allowing you to manage resources of one server. These are mostly used by hosting providers or their resellers and customers. Finally, there is a “Parallels Automation” product line that combine power and capabilities of all the products I’ve mentioned before and completes them with multi-server end-to-end management of the whole IT infrastructure. By now there are three major automation products in this line including “Virtual Manager” for managing virtualization platforms, “Operations Manager” for end-to-end service provisioning and management and “Business Manager” for cost analysis and aligning IT to business priorities. All these automation products are build on “Parallels Automation Development Platform” which was specifically designed to accommodate fast and efficient development of automation capabilities.
• There are three major products within Parallels Automation product family. First of all, it’s Parallels Automation Virtual Manager which manages multiple Virtualization Technologies covering both OS-level and Hypervisor-based virtualizations, provides provisioning and management capabilities as well as exposing self service capabilities for managing particular Virtual Container or Virtual Machine by it’s owner. The second product is Parallels Automation Operations Manager which is end-to-end service provisioning framework covering wider range of services and provides full automation through the life-cycle of the services. Finally, there is a Parallels Automation Business Manager which provides automated service ordering, configurable workflow of approvals, usage accounting and chargebacks. Now let’s go through each of them with a bit more details.
• In addition to three automation products I’ve mentioned – we are planning to introduce several new products including ones mentioned on these slide. They are: License Manager to manage various licenses for Parallels and 3 rd -party products, organize pool of licenses, keep track of licenses expiration and renewals, provide usage reports and integrate license allocation with provisioning systems. Applications Manager to provide unified applications deployment into various types of environments such as physical boxes, OS Containers or Virtual Machines. Plus, it will provide self service portal for application configuration and management. This will be based on our Application Packaging Standard initiative. Network Manager will provide centralized allocation and management of various network resources such as IP addresses, DNS and Virtual Networks. Storage Manager will provide unified management of various storage systems.
• And now some time for your questions …
• We have about 5 Minutes left …
