(Abstract from POWB 2014) Table 1 - Planned key activities for 2014-2016 to produce IDOs and outputs (CA) 4.1 Activity Name Agricultural Water Management Objectives: To enhance access and use of Agricultural Water Management technologies/interventions by women; Geographical Location (s) including the Action Sites: Chinyanja Triangle Type of methods used: Participatory Action Research, age and sex disaggregated questionnaire survey, co-development of technologies, longitudinal panel studies Gender research dimension: Time allocation, Division of labour on water, land tenure, water rights, constraints and opportunities for integration within the DS, Management by Water User Associations Linkages to other CRPs (if relevant): Water Land and Ecosystem, Aquatic Agricultural Systems (AAS) Research Outputs: Baseline Report which incorporates gender mainstreaming opportunities Investable options available for women in agriculture water management Enhance the opportunities of women to be engaged in water user associations Research Outcomes: Enhanced access and use of Agricultural Water Management interventions Women have more decision making power in AWM interventions
