    Student Discussion Boards - Presentation Transcript

    1. Discussion Boards
    2. Click Discussion Board
    3. Select a Forum
    4. * ** Select a thread * Click Tree View (top right) to change the view. ** Choose the number of items per page.
    5. In Tree View threads can be expanded
    6. Click on a post
    7. Reply to the post in this panel
    8. 1. Edit Subject if needed 2. Type reply post 3. Spell Check or Preview Post
    9. 4. Click the link to add an attachment if 5 available
    10. Reply was posted
    11. Flag a post Clicking Quote (if available) will automatically include the post (in this panel) in your reply
    12. Post was flagged
    13. 2. Click Collect 1. Select posts
    14. * ** ** Collected posts are displayed on one screen. * Posts can be printed ** Posts can be filtered or sorted.
    15. Add a Thread
    16. 1. Include a subject 2. Type the post 3. Spell Check or Preview 4
    17. The new thread is added to the forum
    18. Depending on the type of discussion board, users may be able to edit, remove, or rate posts. Some discussion boards will not allow file attachments, and some will not allow the creation of new threads. For more information contact Lisa Hawkins at hawkinsl@cua.edu
