Housekeeping items The purpose of this meeting is to take public comments onproposed service changes effective Monday, September 2, 2013. Silence all cell phones. Be considerate of meeting attendees and COTA staff. When it is your turn to make a comment or ask a question aboutCOTA’s service changes, remain at your seat and we will call uponyou. Comments and questions are limited to two minutes per person. Participants are encouraged to complete comment cards. Ask one question at a time so the appropriate COTA staffmember may address your comment.2

Vernon (All Days) Bus Stop Service Improvement Project around the Ruhl Ave.,Gould Rd. and Allegheny Ave. loop. #7 Neil (All Days) College Road construction will be completed the fall of 2013. #8 Hamilton/Frebis (All Days) Bus Stop Service Improvement Project. #8 Hamilton Ave. (Weekdays and Saturday) Last two northbound trips may be extended to Busch Blvd.8

  • 26. 26Bus Stop Service Improvement Project Project Goals: Optimally space busstops to balance theneed for quick in-vehicletravel time withconsiderations of thedistance that customersmust walk to access busstops. Improve operationalefficiency. Reduce maintenancecosts of underutilizedbus stops. Improve travel times,where possible.
  • 27.  The following lines are being analyzed for September 2013: #4 Indianola/Parsons (Local) #8 Hamilton/Frebis (Local) #6 Sullivant/Mt. Vernon (Ruhl/Gould/Allegheny loop only) #92 James/Stelzer (Ruhl/Gould/Allegheny loop only) #96 E. Fifth Avenue (select stops on E. COTA update Ticket/Pass vending machine is operational. Compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station is operational atCOTA’s McKinley Avenue facility. New buses being delivered in 2013 and ordered for 2014 will beCNG. 2013-2017 Short-Range Transit Plan available. Downtown circulator under consideration. Public meetings will be held summer 2013. New downtown shelters will be installed in October 2013.30
