The purpose of this meeting is to take public comments on
proposed service changes effective Monday, May 6, 2013.
Silence all cell phones.
Be considerate of meeting attendees and COTA staff.
When it is your turn to make a comment or ask a question about
you.
Comments and questions are limited to two minutes per person.
Participants are encouraged to complete comment cards.
Ask one question at a time so the appropriate COTA staff
member may address your comment.

#1 Cleveland (Weekday)
In response to customer requests, select trips to Downtown in the
early morning may begin at the Westerville Park and Ride instead
of Northern Lights.
The southbound trip arriving at Cleveland Avenue and 5th Avenue
at 6:11 a.m. may be adjusted to better facilitate transfers to the
eastbound #96 5th Ave.
#1 Livingston (Weekday)
In response to customer requests, select trips to Downtown before
7:10 a.m. may begin at the Reynoldsburg Park and Ride instead of
Shady Lane Road and E. Main Street.

follow the same alignment

In February, service will be
removed from the Westland
Mall location. Instead,
service will travel north on
Georgesville Road, west on
Lincoln Park Court, the bus
will layover on Lincoln Park
Court then travel south on
Nationwide Boulevard, east
on Industrial Mile Road,
south on Georgesville Road
and east on Sullivant
Avenue continuing the
normal alignment.

In May, service may be deviated onto the Hollywood Casino
property. Instead of traveling west on Lincoln Park Court, as
above, service will travel north on Georgesville Road, and east
into the Hollywood Casino. (see map)

#6 Sullivant (Weekday and Saturday)
Service frequency during peak hours may be improved.
#6 Mt. Vernon (All Days)
Due to changes on the #6 Sullivant, trip times may be adjusted to
improve on-time performance or service frequency may be
improved.
#7 Neil (Saturday and Sunday)
Service frequency may be improved.
#7 Whittier (Saturday and Sunday)
Service frequency may be improved.

#8 Hamilton Ave. (Weekday)
Due to the elimination of a travel lane on Karl Road between
Oakland Park and Morse Road, travel times may be adjusted to
improve on-time performance.
The last two northbound trips may be extended to end at
Boardwalk Street and Shapter Avenue instead of Red Robin Road
and Tamarack Boulevard.
The last two southbound trips traveling from Red Robin Road and
Tamarack Boulevard and ending at Maize Road and Blenheim
Road, and Karl Road and Oakland Park Avenue may be
discontinued.
#9 Leonard/Brentnell (Saturday and Sunday)
Service frequency may be improved.

Bus stops or alignment around OSU Hospital East may be
modified to better facilitate transfers with the #81 Hudson/Ohio.

Travel times may be adjusted on the trip scheduled to arrive
downtown to meet the 11:00 p.m. line-up, in order to improve on-
time performance.

between Front Street and either Hocking Street or Neil Avenue.
Service would be discontinued on Front Street, Marconi

and Long Street east of either Hocking Street or Neil Avenue.

28. Bus Stop Service Improvement Project
The following lines are being analyzed for May 2013:
#2 E. Main/N. High (Local)
#21 Night Owl (Local)
#31 Worthington (Express)
#32 Crosswoods (Express)
All service will be removed from stops that are removed as a part of
this project.
Bus stop changes may also affect lines 4, 5, 8, 18, 47, 80, 84, 95,
and 96.

29. Bus Stop Service Improvement Project
The public comment period about these
changes will last from January 21 February 8,
2013.

31. COTA update
Ticket/Pass vending machine at 33 N. High St.
Northeast Corridor Alternatives Analysis Project (NECAA)
Submitted study to the Federal Transit Administration
COTA will pursue funding for the next phase: Project Development
Construction of new compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station has
begun at McKinley Operations facility.
Columbus Downtown Action Plan
The city has begun implementing and operating High Street
curbside parking meters
Both COTA and the city are monitoring mid-day bus operations
around the meters
So far, impacts on bus operations have been minimal
