    • September 4th 1981 one of the greatest performers of all time was born, Beyonce Giselle Knowles. Singer, songwriter, actress, fashion icon, and so much more Beyonce has become a recognizable idol and brand to millions of people all over the world.

    “Dangerously in Love” which sold over 6million units worldwide and 317,000 in the first week.
    Beyonce wrote Destiny Child’s 1stHot 100 hit “Bills, Bills, Bills” and she was only 16 years old
    Check On It was #1 for six consecutively weeks on Billboards Hot 100 Chart
    The album B’Daydebuted at number one on the Billboard 100, selling more than 541,000 copies in the first week, her highest first-week sales mark as a solo artist.

    "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" went on to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart, for four non-consecutive weeks, giving Knowles her fifth number one single in the United States
    B’Day earned Beyonce the award for Best Contemporary R&B Album Knowles made history at the 35th Annual American Music Awards for being the first woman to win the International Music Award
    “Irreplacable”, Beyonces second single worldwide and third single in the U.S , topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 10 consecutive weeks, giving Beyonce her longest running single to date.

    In 2005 Beyonce created a fashion line with her mother called House of Dereon.
    In 2006 Beyonce featured in global advertisement campaigns for L’Oreal and Tommy Hilfiger.
    Beyonce released her first fragrance “Heat”.

    Beyonce began her acting career by starring in the 2001 Hip-Hopera Carmen.
    In 2002 Beyonce co-starred in Austin Powers in Goldmember, in which she played Foxy Cleopatra.
    In 2003 Beyonce starred opposite Cuba Gooding, Jr. in Fighting Temptations.
    Beyonce also co-starred in the film The Pink Panther, playing Xania the international pop star.
