In  the  first  book,  O  Theophilus,  I  have  dealt  with  all  that  Jesus  began  to  do  and  teach,  un;l  the  day  when  he  was  taken  up,  a=er  he  had  given  commands  through  the  Holy  Spirit  to  the  apostles  whom  he  had  chosen.  He  presented  himself  alive  to  them  a=er  his  suffering  by  many  proofs,  appearing  to  them  during  forty  days  and  speaking  about  the  kingdom  of  God.  Acts  1:1-­‐3  (ESV)  
  • 2. I  remember  when,  I  remember  I  remember  when  I  lost  my  mind  
  • 3. “He  presented  himself  alive  to  them  a=er  his  suffering  by  many  proofs…”  
  • 4. And  their  eyes  were  opened,  and  they  recognized  him.  And  he  vanished  from  their  sight.  They  said  to  each  other,  “Did  not  our  hearts  burn  within  us  while  he  talked  to  us  on  the  road,  while  he  opened  to  us  the  Scriptures?”  And  they  rose  that  same  hour  and  returned  to  Jerusalem.  And  they  found  the  eleven  and  those  who  were  with  them  gathered  together,  saying,  “The  Lord  has  risen  indeed,  and  has  appeared  to  Simon!”  Then  they  told  what  had  happened  on  the  road,  and  how  he  was  known  to  them  in  the  breaking  of  the  bread.  Luke  24:31-­‐35  (ESV)

  • 7. My  heroes  had  the  heart    To  lose  their  lives  out  on  a  limb    And  all  I  remember    Is  thinking,  I  want  to  be  like  them      
  • 8. 1. Do  you  remember  when  you  lost  YOUR  mind?  2. A;er  we’ve  lost  our  minds,  we  need  to  lose  our  lives!
