How To Succeed In Web Performance In 2009 - Presentation Transcript

    1. How to succeed in Web Performance in 2009
    2. Best Practice #1 Always monitor your sites from where your end-users are. Performance can vary 5X or more. Your users don’t live in your data center.
    3. Best Practice #2 When moving your applications into the cloud, monitor your performance 24/7. Don’t rely on the cloud service provider to monitor your applications’ performance.
    4. Best Practice #3 Benchmark your performance against your competitors and beat them. Relative performance matters!
    5. Best Practice #4 Watch the outliers in your performance data. Averages can be misleading. You need to watch the 95th percentiles, slowest hours etc.
    6. Best Practice #5 Test your applications’ performance early & often in the application lifecycle. Use and share the same scripts with your team for triage.
    7. Test your apps for FREE from Keynote’s Cloud http:// kite.keynote.com Download KITE @
