  • 2. Executive Summary: Objective: Increase traffic and search result rankings for Stacey Hansen's Scentsy web page, resulting in increased sales and building  down-line  through traffic generated from multiple social network sites.

  • 3. Overview
    • in simplest terms, results in search engine ranking are derived from web traffic and keywords.Most companies control this through dedicated marketing staff or consultants specializing in SEO (Search Engine Optimization). 
    • If you do not have the time and resources for a dedicated search specialist, the next best thing is cross linking - i.e. the more places you have the staceyhansen.scentsy.us  link the higher your results in searches and the more traffic you should generate.  
    • Social network sites provide the ideal means to create free web presences that can point traffic to the  staceyhansen.scentsy.us  site. 
    • The  following pages provide best recommendations for using specific social networking sites to drive traffic to  staceyhansen.scentsy.us  
    • You'll want to have a consistent name to use across all sites, such as Stacey Hansen Scentsy,the same profile picture and profile description.

    • A dedicated Stacey Hansen Scentsy LinkedIn profile will provide a professional distinction between your Sedgwick County  and Scentsy business as well as another place to post your Stacey Hansen Scentsy link . 
      • You can sync status updates in your LinkedIn profile from your Twitter account
      • Connect with other Scentsy professionals and possibly corporate employees.
      • Connect with other  network  marketers for ideas and inspiration - and possibly a chance to build your down-line

    • Google Buzz  [ http://www.google.com/buzz ]  is a unique microblogging site which allows posts longer than 140 characters and posting of multimedia content. 
    • It is a part of a gmail account (which incidentally raises google search results) 
      • Status updates (buzz) can be synced to twitter posts as well as other social network sites. ( when synced whatever you post on twitter appears on buzz automatically )
      • Similar to twitter in that you follow and  have followers
      • create a profile about your  Scentsy   business  that contains your Stacey Hansen Scentsy link.

    • YouTube [ http://www.youtube.com/ ] i s owned by Google and will also help a little with raising your search ranking. YouTube allows you to create a profile where you can post your Stacey Hansen Scentsy link profile info.

      • Interview with a successful Scentsy representative
      • Video footage from one of your Scentsy parties

      • You can sync your tumblr posts to feed to facebook and/or twitter

      • you have to option to allow your followers to ask you questions
      • you can insert multi media into tumblr - such as your YouTube videos and photos
      • blogging can be as involved as you want it to be  - but typically is not a daily exercise.

    • Foursquare [ http://foursquare.com/ ] is a social location aware site, most commonly used on cell phones. Users 'check in' at businesses and gain points or strive to become mayor ( someone who has checked in the most at a location ). Some business offer awards or discounts for users checking in at their business i.e. show us you're here on foursquare and get a free soda.
    • S uggestions:
      • A user can add a venue to Foursqaure. When hosting a party you could create a venue"Stacey Hansen Scentsy Party at 123 Main St." and promote check in on foursquare and get something ..a discount or a free wax thing or entered in a drawing for something.
      • Foursquare profile does not have a place for a link but you could create an account with Stacey Hansen Scentsy and publish your check-ins to twitter and facebook, just to generate some  additional content on those sites.
  • 11.                  Flickr
    • Flickr [ http://www.flickr.com/ ] is a photo sharing site.
    • Flicker offers a nice profile setup where you can place your Stacey Hansen Scentsy link.
      • You can upload photos of products
      • Upload photos of parties
      • Upload photos of any Scentsy events you attend
      • Any photos you think are interesting or relevant to your business i.e. snow covered pine trees and some caption like.. this is what my house smells like right now..

    • About.me [ https://about.me/ ] is a web landing page. This single page is the place to show a profile, a photo, all your social network connections and other website links. Think of it as a type of online directory.
    • The main purpose of everything in this presentation is to help drive business to your Stacey Hansen Scentsy page and increase your web presence, which in turn should increase profitability. 
    • About.Me will show all your sites which all link back to your Stacey Hansen Scentsy page. All your social network sites should contain similar content, profile picture and redirection to your Stacey Hansen Scentsy site.

  • 14. Conclusion
    • T his may seem a little overwhelming at first but is totally manageable once the setup is done. Linking/syncing sites together simplifies content entry.One option that may help is a program called Tweetdeck [ http://www.tweetdeck.com/desktop/ ]. This program is downloadable to your computer and/or iPhone and allows you to update all your sites from one place. ( I am not using tweetdeck but can download it if you have questions)
      • The content you post on your sites is the key to gaining and maintaining followers - more than just current sales and promotions, consider some things that you find cool - inspirational quotes, thoughts on network marketing,questions you have, etc..
